Quoting from a Coral-Lister:
On the web site http://www.givingmarketplaces.org/discussion.html the issue of performance of NGOs is discussed, and it seems that the environmentalist movement's biggest enemy is itself and its inability to come up with strategies that actually work, and can be gauged for effectiveness and when necessary, adapted, changed or improved upon.
I cannot agree more. So what gives?

2 plugged in:
That's a very sad truth.
Activists/environmentalists/conservationists, whatever you call them, they don't work together, unfortunately. How do you promote whatever you're promoting when you cannot even lift your finger and work with other people?
And more often than not, we charge towards the good work of what we believe in but without sound research, strategy evaluation and sharing of knowledge with different organizations. We will somehow end up with one too many trials and errors before donors eventually give up in funding the ideology that we are contesting for.
