about evelyn

if there is a resume for a blogger, this is how her's will look like:

  1. used to write personal journals in exercise books that usually runs 3 pages long each entry-was a very wordy person
  2. started her first blog in the MTV Asia blogs in July 2004 and was the featured blog of the week by its first month
  3. was a freelance article writer and blogger for The R.AGE, a publication from The Star
  4. was a copywriter for print and radio ads in one of northern's biggest ad agency
  5. currently authors a blog, a series of case studies and published science articles
  6. working towards writing articles for the science publications and also for the lay people

some interesting facts about the blogger:
  1. she's into photography for the past 6 years and is aspiring to be a freelance photojournalist someday
  2. she's a selective story reader- jumping from one main plot to another
  3. her ancestors' roots traces all the way to Thailand and China - hence her 'not-so-chinese' look
  4. possesses a low tolerance for spicy food unlike most typical Malaysians
  5. always wanted to pursue interior designing but ended in marine biology instead
  6. loves the name Sivit

a little about this blog:
  1. the blog was started in late 2004, in the lonely hours of her first semester in University Terengganu Malaysia. Being in a strange and foreign land which later taught her many valuable lessons in life, the blog became her unlimited space to express and imprint her innermost thoughts and feelings.
  2. 'evelyn unplugged' because she always believes in being original and real in the midst where life sometimes get over-rated, superficial and amplified. Only during an unplugged session, one can hear the true element of what is the makes of the instrument - where in this blog - being herself as she is.
  3. the topics of this blog covers a wide range from personal opinions, encounters and experiences, to writing about pressing issues which she thinks her readers has got to know about. the theme of the blog has evolved many times in the term of 4 years where the progression can be evidently mapped as the journey of her maturing outlook on life.
